For the month of March 2014 the spotlight artist is Karon who has been sharing her creations since I started JKOC. Her consistency with creating and blogging has to be admired, it's always a pleasure seeing what Karon has created. Check out more of Karon's work at Karon's krafty Korner. The following information is what Karon shared about herself.

My name is Karon, and I emigrated to Canada with my hubby Andy and our two girls Shannon (15) and Emily (13) in 2005. For us as a family it was the best decision ever. I started off my crafty side doing tapestry in my early twenties, it was something to keep me occupied whilst working night shifts. At some point I turned to cross stitch and that was my first love for a very long time. I love how you start with a blank canvas and then you actually see the project come to life, almost like being a painter but with thread :). I did dabble a bit with card making, did some decoupage cards and some very simple things before leaving the UK to come and live in Canada in 2005. Cross stitch was still in the forefront up and till Christmas 2011, when I decided to by a Cricut machine (The Baby Bug) after procrastinating over this purchase for a couple of years or so. That was it , I was hooked back into card making and just how much these little machines could do and how much nicer I could make my cards. However, as in all things life changes and needs change. I bought a Silhouette Cameo in January of last year and I love it!
The name for my blog Karon’s Krafty Korner, came from the fact my craft room is actually in a corner in the basement.I feel I am improving as the days go by, although sometimes I struggle for inspiration. When this happens, I try and come up with a theme for a new series of cards, to keep my mojo going, or I look at the challenges that are out there for inspiration. Most importantly I am inspired daily by all the new blogging friends that I have made on this journey and the creations that people are constantly amazing me
with.

Thanks Susan for picking me as Spotlight of the Month.
