Spotlight Artist-April

For the month of April the Spotlight artist is Gail who shares here amazing creations on a very regular basis at JKOC and various other challenge blogs. Gail is so consistent with her creations, it's crafter's like her who are certainly an inspiration to me. Check out more of Gail's work at I like paper. The following is what Gail shared about herself.

I am a Christian that likes to paper craft. Jesus is the Lord of my Life. I am married to a wonderful and amazing Christian husband, Richard. We have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.

I started paper crafting in 2011 and opened a blog in August of 2012. My blog has taken me on a wonderful adventure in Blog Land. Not only have I been introduced to various crafting supplies and

technique, I have met many very creative crafters from all over the world. In addition, I have become very close friends with several of my Internet crafting buddies, but have yet to meet any of them in person.

I consider myself a Clean & Simple crafter. However, I also like to create Tags and projects. Recently, I have acquired some nice dies that create Pop Up cards, which I find fun to make and decorate. I also like to try out new tutorials and I so enjoy looking at other crafters creations – which give me inspiration – or a desire to lift their work.

Presently, I am blessed to have one room in our home as my crafting studio. My husband put up or built shelving in my crafting studio and I also have several roller carts to store supplies.

I am a paper-holic – and that is why I call my blog I Like Paper – I find it very hard to resist a good sale on cardstock/paper and I engage in the Happy Dance whenever I win a paper pack or other crafting supplies from a blog challenge.

I feel honored and blessed to be the Spotlight Guest for Just Be Creative Blog for the month of April. I count it an honor and privilege. Thank you Susan for Spotlighting me this month.

I wish above all else, that each of you be in good health and prosper.

For the month of March 2014 the spotlight artist is Karon who has been sharing her creations since I started JKOC. Her consistency with creating and blogging has to be admired, it's always a pleasure seeing what Karon has created. Check out more of Karon's work at Karon's krafty Korner. The following information is what Karon shared about herself.

My name is Karon, and I emigrated to Canada with my hubby Andy and our two girls Shannon (15) and Emily (13) in 2005. For us as a family it was the best decision ever. I started off my crafty side doing tapestry in my early twenties, it was something to keep me occupied whilst working night shifts. At some point I turned to cross stitch and that was my first love for a very long time. I love how you start with a blank canvas and then you actually see the project come to life, almost like being a painter but with thread :). I did dabble a bit with card making, did some decoupage cards and some very simple things before leaving the UK to come and live in Canada in 2005. Cross stitch was still in the forefront up and till Christmas 2011, when I decided to by a Cricut machine (The Baby Bug) after procrastinating over this purchase for a couple of years or so. That was it , I was hooked back into card making and just how much these little machines could do and how much nicer I could make my cards. However, as in all things life changes and needs change. I bought a Silhouette Cameo in January of last year and I love it!
The name for my blog Karon’s Krafty Korner, came from the fact my craft room is actually in a corner in the basement.I feel I am improving as the days go by, although sometimes I struggle for inspiration. When this happens, I try and come up with a theme for a new series of cards, to keep my mojo going, or I look at the challenges that are out there for inspiration. Most importantly I am inspired daily by all the new blogging friends that I have made on this journey and the creations that people are constantly amazing me
with.

Thanks Susan for picking me as Spotlight of the Month.
