Just saying goodbye

Hi everyone,

I haven't posted here in forever and huge apologies about that. I have had a very busy year and wasn't able to keep up with blogging at all. After 18 years at my job I have taken a redundancy and I am now hoping to work on things that I actually enjoy and hopefully I will make a success of it. With all my plans of what I want to do there are a few things I have to give up and although I had every intention of returning to this blog I am afraid I won't be able to due to time constraints.  I would like to thank every participant that took part in the anything goes link up's, I always enjoyed seeing your beautiful work and was inspired by your motivation and passion to create. Wishing you all a very Happy 2015 and every success in your creative endeavours. If you would like to see what I will be up to from now on you can catch me at Imagine Create Express ,suzARTe Creations facebook page and suzARTe Creations on Etsy.

For the month of July the Spotlight artist is Lucy Patrick who has been sharing her cards at JKOC ever since I started this blog again. Lucy is an extremely talented Australian card maker who's cards always have such depth, texture and colour, I am always amazed with what Lucy makes. Although, Lucy has kept her bio short and sweet her cards say it all.  Lucy is definitely an inspiration to me as I am sure she is to all of you crafty people out there, check out more of Lucy's work at Lucy loves scrapping . The following is what Lucy shared about herself.

I am a happily married mum of 2 living in Australia who is obsessed with cardmaking!

I also own an embellishments company called Flourish with a Bling which is handy because I can call my crafting “my occupation” hehe. My two friends/business partners and I have designed our own unique flourishes and embellishments, I hope you’ll drop in and take a peek at the store or my blog at lucylovesscrapping.blogspot.com.au

Thanks so much to Just Keep on Creating for having me as a Spotlight Artist, I’m really excited to be a part of your wonderful challenge blog.

from the May Anything goes link-up for 2014

Apologies in regards to being absent from this blog for the whole month of June. My internet system stopped working all together and I also had to give in my computer for repairs and so wasn't able to do anything in the month of June at JKOC. Also huge apologies about not being able to comment on everyone's creations, I just have so much to catch up on now that my computer is up and running again. Thanks again for all your wonderful entries in May, all of your creations are just amazing. It was so difficult to choose only 10 projects but it had to be done. I hope you enjoy the creations of the featured artist's,  I have chosen a variety of styles and projects to be highlighted.

I love the bright and happy colours on this card, really stands out on the white background.

The blue compliments everything beautifully in this amazing card, love all the details.

The lattice embossed background is the perfect background to this card, love all the patterned papers as well.

This is a Vintage card with attitude, love the sentiment and all the other details.

This card just pops and is ever so cute, love everything about it.

Such a gorgeous one layer card, the texture in the paper adds so much dimension to the card.

For the month of May the Spotlight artist is Kitty who has been sharing her cards at JKOC ever since I started this blog again. Kitty is a talented and enthusiastic card maker who makes such bright and cheerful cards. Kitty is not afraid of a challenge which is evident with the amount of challenges she enters, I have been introduced to so many challenge blogs thanks to Kitty.  Kitty is definitely an inspiration to me as I am sure she is to all of you crafty people out there, check out more of Kitty's work at KT Fit Kitty. The following is what Kitty shared about herself.

Thank you, Susan, for inviting me to be your Spotlight Artist this month. I am honoured! A little bit about me: I live in Nova Scotia, Canada, and I'm in my late 40s. I've been making cards for about 8 years; a friend asked me to do some stamping with her in 2005, and I had a lot of fun. A few months later I took some card-making courses given by the recreation department in a nearby town, and I was hooked! It's so fulfilling for me to make cards - I get the pleasure of making the card, and the recipient gets the pleasure of receiving the card - it's a win-win!

I enjoy bringing joy to others, and if my cards can bring a smile to someone’s face, that makes my day! My favourite subject for my cards is cats, and my inspiration comes from my two kitties, Honeydew and Kiwi.

I started my blog on June 21, 2013, after being invited to a design team, and I wanted to enter all of those fun challenges! I enjoy the inspiration I get from other bloggers. It’s really been an uplifting experience for me, and I’m so glad I took the plunge to start a blog. I’ve met a number of amazing people, some of whom I now call friends.

My occupation is Administrative Assistant and I worked for 29 years at a manufacturing company, until they closed their doors in June 2012. I am always looking for an opportunity to go back to work and I am sure the right job will come along at the right time. Until then, I fill my time with my crafting hobby. I craft on a budget! Fortunately, I have a very supportive boyfriend who buys me crafting goodies from time to time to give me a little boost.

You might be wondering how I chose my blog name. Well... KT are my initials, Kitty is a nickname, and Fit Kitty is my user name on a fitness web site I used to frequent. Since I was already set up with the name Fit Kitty on Google and Gmail, I decided to stick with it. It would make me so happy if you would stop by my blog for a visit: http://ktdesigns2013.blogspot.ca/

Thank you, Susan, for spotlighting me this month! Wishing you and all your followers a joyful day!
